AOKAUTERE.

(From Our Own Correspondent.) AOKAUTERE, Oct. 6. The annual meeting of the Aokautere Tennis Club was hold last week, Mr Craven presiding over a good attendance. The retiring president and secretary, Mr W. Anderson and Miss Nancy Field, respectively, presented tho annual report and balance-sheet which showed the finances of tho club to bo in a very satisfactory state. Mr Anderson was re-clectod president for tho ensuing year. Miss Nancy Field, last year's secretary, and Mr Alan Hopcroft, last year’s captain, declined to accept office again this year and were accorded a vote of thanks for their services. Miss M. Anderson was elected secretary, and Mr J. Gough club captain, and the following were elected vicepresidents: Messrs R. R. Scott, W. F. Field, M. Kristenscn, A. Fcrgusson, W. Hopcroft and F. Judd. Messrs Craven, Iv. Judd and W. Hunter wero appointed a rules committee to draw up rules to bo submitted to tho club for approval. The courts were officially opened on. Saturday afternoon when there was a good attendance of tho local public.
