J. and J. Lonsdale and Co., Ltd., London, report as follows: —Butter: Market quiet. Danish, 105 s; New Zealand, 101 s to 102 s; Australian, 101 to 102 s. Cheese : Market steadier, New Zealand, whito 49s to 50s, coloured 49s to 50s; Canadian, 533 6d c.i.f. ... Cabled advice received from A. J. Mills and Co., Ltd., London, gives the following market prices as ruling at the o-ose of business on Thursday :—Butter: The market is stoadier. Now Zealand, finest, 109 s to 102 s; firsts, 98s to 995; unsalted, 110 s to 112 s. Danish, spot, 106 s. Danish, f.0.b., 84s. Australian, 101 to 102. Siberian 84s to 86s. Baltic _ States, 90s to 925. Cheese: The market is quiet. New Zealand, white, 49s to 50s; coloured, 49s to 503. Canadian white and coloured, 54s to 565; Canadian c.i.f. quotation, September make, white 55s to 565, coloured 54s to 555. Dalgety and Co., Ltd., are advised under date October s:—Butter: Market slow. Danish, 106 s to 108 s (116 s to 118 s). New Zealand finest salted, 98s to 102 s (102 s to 108 s). Australian finest unsalted, 102 sto 106 s (105 sto 103); finest salted, 99s to 102 s (103 s to 108 s); Australian g.a.q.. 97s to 98s (100 sto 102 s). Cheese: Market stoadier. New Zealand, white, 49s to 50s (53s to 545); coloured 49s to 50s (53s to 545) Spot price for Canadian white, 52s to 56s (54s to 58s); coloured, 52s to 56s (54s to 58s). Last week’s quotations are shown in parentheses. SHEEPSKINS AND HIDES. WELLINGTON SALE PRICES. Prices generally were slightlv easier at the fortnightly salo of sheepskins, hides and tallow held yesterday by the combined Wellington brokers. Sheepskins wero on a. lower level than at recent sales, more -especially for faulty pelted and damaged lots, the better class skins _ being about a halfpenny _ easier, while inferior sorts showed a decline of fully a penny on last sales. Medium ox hides showed very ■little change, and heavy ox were slightly firmer, being about ad per pound higher. Cow hides were about id per pound lower than last salo. Calfskins were about 5 d lower, while kip and yearling showed a decline of id to |d. Tallow values wero slightly easier.
