CHANNEL COLLISION.

RESULT OF FOG. (British Official Wireless.) Received October 7, 11.38 a.m. RUGBY, Oct. 6. An extremely thick fog in the Channel was the cause of a collision off Deal early this morning between the French steamer Solon of 4550 tons and the British steamer Sandsend of 3610 tons. Both vessels were damaged above the water line, but no one was injured.
