DOG SHOW.
(To the Editor.) ' Sir, —I note from the report of the Manawatu Kennel Club’s meeting, reported in yesterday’s issue, that the club cannot see their way clear to hold their annual Dog Show in conjunction with the A. and P. Association’s Show, and intend to hold their show independently at the same time as the A. and P. &how. Surely there is something seriously amiss wnen the association allow a valuable exhibition such as this to pass from their control. The Citizens’ Committee have with success endeavoured in the past to improve the tone and quality of the Show, but this omission of the dogs would appear to be a retrograde step. Previous correspondence in your paper failed to produce any reason why the two bodies could not work in harmony and I, and no doubt, many others, would he pleased if either body would come into the open and disclose the nature of the obvious breach. — Yours, etc., “IGNORANTIO ELENCHI.”
