DEATH FROM WOUND. Per Press Association. CHRISTCHURCH, Oct. 8. John B. Allan a single man, aged 26, was admitted to the Christchurch Public Hospital this morning in a very serious condition, with a bullet wound in the head. He died this afternoon. Allan, whose address is 903 Colombo Street, was reported to the police yesterday as missing. He was found this morning in the office of C. E. Jones, Ltd., land and estate agents, unconscious, with a bullet wound in the head, and a rifle lying beside him. MAN’S BODY FOUND. FEATHERSTON, Oct. 8. The body of Cyril Johnson, who has been missing from his home at Kahutara, Featherston, since September 30, was found in .a pond, about a mile from his residence. HUTT ROAD TRAGEDY. SMALL GIRL KILLED. Per Press Association. WELLINGTON, Oct. 8. Injuries from which she died within 20 minutes were received by Dawn May, aged 5, the daughter of Mr and Mrs James May, of Wallaceville, when she was run over by a motor-cycle ridden by Kenneth G. Morgan, of Karori, on the main road at Upper Mutt this afternoon. Charles Hamilton Day, of Karori, who was a passenger in the side-car, received a broken collarbone and other injuries through the motor-cycle falling on him.
