LONG RELAY RACE.

l’er Press Association. CHRISTCHURCH, June 26. Over a 50-mile high country course 192 runners, divided among 24 teams, took part in to-day’s relay race from Christchurch to Akaroa. They went along wiping the snow out of their eyes and splashing mud over their legs, puffing uphill and blowing down. Results: —A section: Christchurch 1, Methodist 2. Timaru 3. B section: Presbyterian 1, Methodist 2, Timaru 3. C section: Presbyterian 1.
