INTER-CLUB CONTEST.
PALMERSTON NORTH BEAT MANAWATU.
Taking the aggregate wins and losses over four sections in an inter-club match between the Palmerston North and Manawatu Golf Clubs at the weekend, senior and four-ball and junior and four-hall, the former club ran out the winners of the series by 28 wins to 25. In the senior grade M. Ramsay beat J. Hornabrook on the Palmerston North links, where all the senior matches were held, while the junior matches took place on the Manawatu links. The following are the detailed results, Palmerston North players being mentioned first in each instance: SENIOR GRADE. Singles.—M. Ramsay beat Hornabrook, Cumberworth lest to Ingham, Walsh beat Chapman, Fletcher halved with C. G. Moore, De Cleene lost to Greenbank, Harkness lost to Winks, R. Ramsay beat R. G.
