NOTES.

There was a good attendance at the Municipal Band concert, held on Sunday evening. A programme of instrumental and vocal solos was rendered by Palmerston North and local artists. Those who contributed were Mrs lv. Jones (Palmerston North), Mr M. Ngardinger, Drum-Major Bevy, Bandsmen T. Austin and J. McGill, Master F. Fleetwood, Municipal Band (Mr Fleetwood, conductor). Mr A. Feeney and Mr 1). Corchton were the accompanists. The Feikling Cycling Club held a ‘26-mile race on Saturday. The course lay over roads to Colvton, then over the hilly road to Ashhiirst, and back to Feiltiing, through Bunnythorpe. A. McCardle (7imin.) was first home, 20 seconds ahead of Fade (3.\min.) and A. Dewe (12min.), who were separated by half a wheel for second and third places respectively. Fastest times were: A. Fade, 79min. lOsec.; M. McCardle. S2min. 3osec.; and A. Allen, 84min. l'iscc.
