HENDON AIR PAGEANT.
KING AND QUEEN PRESENT. LONDON, June 27. The greatest mass lormatiou of the Royal .-Hr Force ever assembled was seen at the air pageant at Hendon yesterday, when 200 machines, all of the latest and fastest types, flew past Their Majesties in five parallel lines. The fly-past occupied five minutes, the 'planes’ movements being controlled by wireless. The King and Queen were enthusiastically welcomed by a record crowd of 200,000 people in the enclosure. It is estimated tna.t 300,000 watched the display, which included aerobatics, sky ligating and bombing of ground targets, ltom surrounding fields. His Majesty sent a message of congratulation to the Air Force on its splencLd demonstration of courage and determination, and of the efficiency ot organisation.
