VALUES AT WELLINGTON. There was a further rise in the prico of sheepskins, hut hides were easier at the sale held yesterday by the Wellington brokers. Sheepskins.—The market was again strong for all grades, competition being exceptionally keen for sound pelted parcels. Values as compared with !alo quotations were 1(1 to Id better, and for belfbreds up to Ijd. Jlalfbrcds sold to 16Jd, fine crossbreds to 16d, and medium and coarse crossbreds 15jd and 15Jd respectively. Salted skins, of which there was a small offering, show a corresponding rise. Hides.—Competition was fairly keen at a lower range of values, with the exception of light and medium weights. . As compared with previous rates, heavies wore id to Id lower, lights and mediums id advance, kip arid yearling, also heavy calf, declined gd to Id, and at times ljd, while heavy kips Were slightly better. Light calf were eagerly competed for at prices id In 3-8 d better. Weights of 6-B'.b and l-slb sold !o 15id. Tallow. —A small offering : values about par.
