N.Z. CO-OPERATIVE COY. • OYER 15d PER LB BUTTERFAT. HAMILTON. July 22. Details of the New Zealand Cooperative Dairy Company’s bonus to be distributed at the end of this month instead of the end of August as usual were announced to-dav by the general manager (Mr C. J. Pnrlane). The deferred payment due to shareholding suppliers in the butter department covering all btitterfat supplied front August to May inclusive would he 1.743 d plus shareholders’ bonus of -Jd per lb. on June and July supply. This would make the final payment for finest quality of hutterfat, including cartage but excluding substantial trading rebates, 14.319 d. Payments at the company’s cheese factories ranged from 14.3262 dto 15.5182 d. the average over all factories. excluding town milk sales, being 15.0348 d. Mr Parlane said the surpluses in the profit and loss account for the 1936-37 season amount to £757.337 sterling, this including amounts due to suppliers to the company’s butter, cheese, milk powder, casein and evaporated milk factories. RECORD OUTPUT. “Our company experienced a very successful season,” concluded Mr Parlane. the total output of butter being 51,001 tons, representing an increase of 7.37 per cent, over the previous year. The output of cheese was 8799 tons, an increase of 15.4 per cent.
