LABOUR PARTY SPLIT.

OVER DEFENCE ESTIMATES. LONDON, July 22. The decision of the Parliamentary Labour Party, in view of the international situation, not to vote against the Estimates for the fighting services, followed a heated discussion. A ’serious party split was revealed bv a vote of 45 to 39. The minority included the leader of the party (Mr C. R. Attlee), Mr A. Greenwood and Mr H. Morrison, who favoured votincr against the Estimates. A member told Mr Attlee that if Labour members voted against rearmament it would take ten jears to live it down.
