Tippler, whose death occurred on Friday, had many puhne interests. lie was a member of tho Mltkerua Drainage Hoard, a (lireetor of tlw Shannon Dairy Coy., chairman of % shannon School Commit lee, and president or the local branch of the Farmers Union. Ho had acted as judge for the school children’s Calf Club, was a Past-Arch of tho Druids’ Lirnl Lodge, and an active member of the Chess Club. lie leaves a widow, a daughter -(Grctchen, Palmerston North) and three sons, Harold, Oswald and Graham, all of Shannon. Mr M. lip* lor, Palmerston North, is a brother. Mis G. Dickie, Christchurch, and Mrs Butterton, Wellington, are sisters.
