BULLS.
(From Our Own Correspondent.) 1 BULLS, July 26. Tho weather conditions were favourable when members of the Rangitikei Defence Rifle Club commenced a championship shoot on Saturday afternoon, but rain set in aftor two ranges had been fired, and tho competition was therofore postponed until next Saturday. Possibles were scored by Ken Lumsden (2), H. Meads and D. P. Thorby. The ranges fired over wero 300, 500 and 600yds. and the scores are as follow:—K. Lumsden, 32—35 —35 102; H. Meads, 34—35—32—101; D. P. Thorby, 32 —35—32—99; R. White, 33-32-33-98; W. A. Stevenson, 32 —34—32—93. Bulls representatives in the Wanganui A team played good games against Taranaki on Saturday, and Culpan and 'Williams both scored tries. James has an injured hand, and was unable to play, and it, is unlikely that ho will bo fit to take tho field for Rangitikei against Taihape on Wednesday. Bulls thirds won their game by 13 to 9. Mesdarncs D. Howard. C. Flower, and G.* Goebel have been spending a few days in Wellington. Mrs J. Collins, who has been on holiday in Hawcra and at Bulls, returned to Foxton during tho week-end. Mrs G. Crosland has returned from Dunedin, where she attended ler mother’s funeral.
