LITTLE WOLF BEATS SPELLMAN. Per Press Association. WELLINGTON, July 26. Colourful wrestling resulted in. Chief Little Wolf, the lied Indian grappler, heating John Spellman by a single fall at the Town Hall to-night. Little Wolf gave a. magnificent display of Navajo savagery and was repeatedly warned by the referee for the use of his fists and kicking. In the sixth round he took a submission fall with the Indian deathlock. The closing stages were all in Spellman’s favour. Three times ho applied Little Wolf’s own speciality, the deathlock, but three times let the Indian escape. “There's only one guy can do that,” Little Wolf assured him the last time. Spellman dumped Little Wolf thrice, but on each occasion failed to pin him successfully. KIRILINKO DISQUALIFIED. Per Press Association. AUCKLAND, July 26. The professional wrestling contest between Lofty Blomfield, of Auckland, and Matros Kirilinko. of Russia, resulted in a win for Blomfield. After each had obtained a fall, the Russian was disqualified in the seventh round for persistently using the stranglehold after being repeatedly warned by the referee. The first fall was gained by Kirilinko in the third round with a body press following fore-arm jolting and a rolling back loop slam. In the sixth round Blomfield cleverly tripped his opponent to apply his favourite octopus damp hold, which won him a submission fall.
