RAILWAY STATION.
LIGHT TO BE INSTALLED. Some time ago representations were made to the postal authorities and the Railway Department .requesting that the entrances to their Feilding premises be more <ulec[uately. illuininateu by the installation of a light outside the main entrance. The matter was first mentioned by Mr G. J. Fitzpatrick at a meeting of the Feilding Chamber of Commerce and later at a Borough Council meeting. While the Post and Telegraph Department replied negativing the request, the Railway Department lias approved of the recommendation and the following letter has been received by Mr D. Finlay, stationmaster: “The provision of an additional electric light at the, main entrance of the station building is approved. Please advise those concerned in the representations in this connection accordingly and advise when the installation has been made.” The letter was signed by the district traffic manager, Wanganui.
