SCHOOL CONCERT.

The Feilding Agricultural High School Old Pupils’ Association held their annual concert in the school assembly hall last evening, when a varied programme of vocal and instrumental numbers was rendered and the Manawatu Repertory Society staged two one-act plays. The entire programme was bright and interesting, and there.was a good attendance. The programme comprised the following items :—Old girls’ choir, conducted by Mrs W. A. Sandilands, “Song of Empire,” “A Shepherd Kept Sheep,” ■ “When She Answered Me” ; piano solo, “Polonaise in A,” Miss G. Humphreys, L.T.C.L., L.11.5.M. (Lon.); ’cello solo, “Harleqin,” Miss N. Ilausmann, L.R.S.M.; one-act play, Manawatu Repertory Society. “Russian Salad” (Cast, George. Mr J. E. Driver; Jane (his wife), Miss M. Pri-deaux-Pridham; Bennet, Miss G. Wallace-Smith; The Man. Mr lan Young; The Red Ruin, Miss Coyla Cairns; Snitz the Terrible, Mr A. G. Baigent; produced by Mrs J. Davidson); choir, “Tales from Vienna Woods,” “When Daisies Pied”; violin solo, “Etude,” Mr S. Crump; tenor solos, “Salaam,” “Goodbye.” Mr J. Hansen; one-act play, “A Voice Said ‘Goodnight’ ” (cast. Chief Inspector Lavery. C.1.D., Mr T. W. Henderson; Bates (his assistant), Mr D. T. Rowland ; Bel don (a butler), Mr B. J. O’Shea ; Chance Crichton, Mr T. M. N. Rodgers; produced by Mr M. N. Wallace!. During a pause in the programme, Mr Noel Fitzpatrick, on behalf of the association, expressed thanks to tue Manawatu Repertory Society for staging the plays and to all others who had in any way assisted to make the function a success.
