WISH TO OWN KOALA. Fondling a stuffed koala Lear at the Australian stall at the British Red Cross International Bazaar, the Duchess of Kent said : “It is the dream of my life to own a live koala.” Among the articles purchased bv the Duchess was an Australian wooden cigarette box, made by an ex-soldier. HOBART OWNER’S OFFER. Following the statement made by the Duchess of Kent that she had a great desire to own a live koala, Mr V. F. Goodwich, of Hobart, has offered his pet koala bear as a gift to the Duchess, says the Argus, Alolbourne. He said he would not tnist the animal to anybody else for the journey to England, but if the authorities gave him permission he would take it to England himself.
