AAVARD WAGES IN AUSTRALIA

The Federal Arbitration Court to-dayi fixed the rates for wool-classers, who hitherto have not been governed by any award. The rates, which cover Victoria and New South Wales, are: 38s a thousand for the first 25,000 sheep and lambs shorn; for the next 10,000, 37s for sheep and 30s for lambs; for any in excess of 35,000, 32s for sheep and 28s for lambs.
