THE LONDON MARKET. A FIRM TONE. Received July 30, 11.45 a.m. LONDON, July 29. The butter market in London during the past week has displayed a firm tone. On the cheese market a firm tendency has prevailed. Current quotations are as follow, those previously cabled being fncluded in parentheses: Butter.—Danish 124 s (124 s to 1265). Choicest salted: New Zealand, 118 s to 119 s (117 s) ; Australian, 117 s to 115 s (116 s). Unsalted: New Zealand, 113 s to 119 s (117 s) ; Australian, 117 s to 118 s (116 s). Cheese. —New Zealand: White, 7os (745); coloured, 72s (71s 6d). Australian : White, not gjioted (735) ; coloured, not quoted (70s).
