COMPETITION NEARING FINALITY OLD BOYS TO AIEET KIA TOA. With the senior competition nearing finality, Old Boys and Kia Toa will en-. gage in a niatch on the Showgrounds oval to-morrow for leadership in the second round of tho Manawatu Rugby Union’s fixtures. Kia Toa have only to win to emerge the winners of the round by one point over St. Patrick’s, but should they lose Old Boys will come on equal terms with St. Patrick’s, while in the event of a draw Kia Toa will be required to fight out the issue with St. Patrick’s, who have twice beaten them this season. Consequently, much depends upon the outcome of tho match, which should bo an exciting encounter, as Old Boys have been strengthened by tho inclusion of Le Quesno,
Feilding and St. Patrick’s, on Johnston Park, Feilding, will play tho first game in tho subsidiary competition.' > There will lie no junior fixtures, but the Manawatu representatives in this division will meet Te Kawau at Awahuri at 2 p.m. Lower grade fixtures \*ll proceed as usual, the' third grade match between Old Boys and St. Patrick’s to bo played as the curtain-raiser on the Showgrounds.
