A RECIPE.

SULTANA PUDDING. Half lb. self-raising flour, 2oz sugar. 3oz. sultanas, 1 pint milk, 1 egg, 1 pinch salt. Mix the flour, salt, sugar, and sultanas well in a bowl, then make a hollow in the centre, break the egg into it, add the milk by degrees, stirring all the time with a wooden spoon to a smooth paste. Bake in a moderate oven and serve with sauce or custard.
