RONGOTEA SALE.
The New Zealand Loan and Mercantile Agency Co., Ltd., (incorporated in England), report a successful sale of a large yarding of pigs and cattle at the Rongotea yards on Wednesday. An entry of over fifty pigs, mainly of the weaner type, met. with a ready sale at prices in advance of previous rates, and it is anticipated that from this date increased yardings and better sales of pigs will eventuate. There was a small yarding of dairy cattle of an inferior type, but a large entry of fat and store cattle were in keen demand, prices showing a distinct advance on recent sales. .Wo quote as follow Weaner pigs, 15s to 20s; store pigs; 21s 6d, 24s to 31s. Dairy heifers, £2 15s, £3 4s to £5 ss; springing cows, £3 15s to £4 ss; fat cows, £3 17s 6d, £4 2s 6d, £4 10s, £4 17s 6d, £5 10s, £6, to £6 7s 6d; store cows, £1 ss, £2 15s, £3 11s, to £3 16s.
