THE OXFORD GROUP
SERVICE TO NATIONS. A cable received in Wellington yesterday from Oxford quotes the following statement made at Wolverhampton this week by Mr Ernest Brown, Minister of Labour, in the British Cabinet: “Dr. Frank Bachman and members of the Oxford Group are rendering the nations the greatest possible service any man or movement can give the nations at this critical time by insisting upon the necessity of listening to God to find His plan for ourselves and the world. Human intelligence and human ingenuity Lave not found the solution to the heavy problems resulting from conflicting interests and passions which statesmen the world over are facing to-day. There are to-day graver and more complex problems than men have ever been c.alled upon to face. We can only find the way out in quiet times with God.”
