GENEROUS RESPONSE. The Red Triangle Day appeal on behalf of the Y.M.C.A. in Palmerston North met with a generous pi him response, yesterday, and it ,1s expected that when all the collections come to hand the result'will be something over £IOO. A band of 43 ladies rnd 28 businessmen commenced activities for the worthy cause early yesterday morning and, following a systematic canvass of shops and offices in the city, carried on the work from street stalls. Approximately £B9 was collected, with more to come, including the proceeds of ticket 6ales made by 200 class members. The directors of the Y.M.C.A. are very grateful to those who assisted, and to the public for their response.
