CHARGE AGAINST MAORI.
Ter Press Association. AUCKLAND. Aug. 2 The Maori who ran amok at Otahnhn on July 25 and was charged with smashing a number of plate-glass shop windows, Nganikara Holiepa Maaka, aged 44, appeared in the Otahuhu Court this morning. It was statprl that accused had been refused admission to the Auckland Mental Hospital, although he had twice previously been an inmate of mental hospitals. Maaka, who was charged with committing mischief by break'll" 14 windows valued at over £lB5, was committed to a mental hospital.
