ROAD CYCLING

Eight cyclists competed in the Feilding Amateur Cycling Club’s road race on Saturday afternoon. Results are as follow: — . E. Davis (llmin.), time 61mm. 3o sec 1; A. Dewe (llmin.), 61min. 351 sec.,’ 2; N. Green (13min.), 63min. 45 sec., 3. Davis beat Dewe by half a wheel. Green crossed the line ten seconds later. The next bunch, comprising the virtual scratch and middle markers, came in four minutes later. Fastest times were: —A. Eade (3mm), 57min. 13sec.; A. Allen (3min.), 5/mm 13 l-ssec; R- Lamberton (3min.), 5 1 min. 13 2-ssee.
