LOYAL MANAWATU LODGE.
MANCHESTER UNITY. 1.0.0. F. At the meeting of the Loyal Alnnawatu Lodge, M. XL 1.0.0. F. on Thursday and piesided over by N.G. Bro. L. Rees, there were several items of importance dealt with. The correspondence included an invitation from the Oroua Lodge of Druids to play a challenge cribbage competition after their next meeting; this was accepted and teams formed. The sick visitors’ report was given by Bro. Carrol? and N.G. Bro. Rees. It was suggested that lodges of all friendly societies outside the city area should advise the lodges of their respective orders when members nre in the Hospital. Bro. W. Eyre, P.G., F.S., reported on the district management I committee held at Alarton, and Bro. 0. J. Rodgers, 1.P.D.G.M., reported further in regard to the ritual and certain rules. A. visitor from the Loyal Kaponga Lodge was welcomed and in reply expressed pleasure at his visit and his welcome. Bro. W. Eyre also reported as the delegate from the lodge to the golden jubilee celebration of the Friendly Societies’ Fidelity Guarantee Association, which was held in Wellington. There were delegates from lodges and kindred societies present from all parts of New Zealand, and the function was an unqualified success. After lodge closed euchre and table tennis were played.
