(From Our Own Correspondent.) ' SANSON, Aug. A. _ A very enjoyable evening was spent in the Sanson Town Tlall on Friday, to celebrate tho coming-of -ago of Zciia, eldest daughter of Mr and Mrs R. W. Bishop, o Sanson. A large number of friends and relatives were present, including y'?j tols from Hastings, Palmerston North, \\ aituna West, Plalcombe, Feildmg, Marton and Ohakca. Mrs Bishop received her guests wearing a model black floral marocain frock with matching coatee, while tho guest of honour looked charming in a dainty frock of pale pink corded uncrushable crope, white carnation spray and white coatee. Music was supplied by . Mrs L. N Butler and Mr 11. McKinnon for tho dancing, while Mrs K. Masters played an extra Mr D. Sanson led a community sing, while Mr O. Tong caused much amusement with a comical song. Ihe Bay Gordons were won by Miss L. Gcdyo and Mr T Palmer, tho Monte Carlo by Miss J Davcy and Mr It. Bishop, while the two lucky spot dances were won by Miami Mrs R. Signal and Miss P. Meyer and Mr N. Bishop. Supper was solved in the beautifully decorated supper room. On the centre table stood a handsome two-tiered birthday cake, made and presented bv Mis C A Masters (Lee’s Lino, Feildmg). Mr J. Jamieson (Fcilding), in proposing a toast to Miss Bishop, wished her every happiness in the future Mr Ron Bishop replied on his . sister’s behalf. Lumsden. and E. N. Butler ( c .T ua, i ; C grade, Miss Z. Bishop; D grade , D. Stevens. Members to represent .tho loca club in a friendly match against. Recently the Sanson first, B team journeyed to Taikorca to plav Taikorca first B team m the finals of the To TCawau competitions Sanson won the B grade cup for the 1937 season.
