PEDIGREE PIG VALUES.
WORLD’S CHAMPION SOW. HAMILTON Aug. 3. There was a large attendance at the sale of pedigree nigs conducted .at To Rnpa-on behalf of Burwen, Limited. The best price received was 41A guineas paid by Mr A. Swanee. of Whatawhnta, for the Tamworth sow Burwen Nancy XI., the bolder of the world’s . litter record, her average offspring weighing 521 b. at eight weeks. A Sydney Royal Show winner the Tamworth boar Wollinghar Banker, was sold to Mr J. K. McArthur, of Tuakau, for 20 guineas. The champion Berkshire sow .Westowu Juaniti 11, was bought bv Mr G. Jamieson, of Horotiu, for Ilf guineas, while the Royal Show reserve champion Dominion Fashions Reo changed hands at 12 guineas, Mr Clark, of Rangitaiki, being the buyer. Berkshire sows averaged 6J guineas and the boars 9 guineas. Prices for Tamworth maiden sows ranged from 6J guineas to 10 guineas, and Tamworth sows with litters from 9 guineas to 13 guineas.
