RAUMAI CLUB. On Saturday a team from the Raumai Goif Club visited the Woodville Club. The games proved interesting and resulted in an even number being won in both the singles and the four balls. Detailed results are as follow, the Woodville players being mentioned first: Singles. —Paterson lost to R. Smart; Mackie beat H. Fitz Herbert; Lagor beat G. Bailey; R. Peebles halved with D. Balmer; W. Norman beat C. Spelmam; Gamy beat W. Smart; J. Peebles halved with W. Gibb; G. Peebles halved with R. MacDonald; Elder halved with C. Preshaw; Hawks last to B. Clapham; Wiley lost to J. Saunders; Morgan lost to Hutchenson. Four-balls: Paterson and Mackie halved with R. Smart and Fitz Herbert; Lagor and R. Peebles beat Bailey and Balmer; Norman and Gamy beat C. Spelman and W. Smart; J. Peebles and G. Peebles halved with MacDonald and Gibb; Elder and Hawks lost to Preshaw and Clapham; Wiley and Morgan lost to Saunders and Hutchenson. ... Several ladies from the Raumai Club visited Woodville with the men’s team and played the Woodville ladies, the games resulting as follow: Miss M- McCool beat Miss Goodwin ; Mrs McDonald lost to Miss Beatty; Miss P- MacDonald lost to Miss Peebles; Mrs Groves lost to Mrs Peebles; Mies M. Jonson beat Mrs Mackie; Miss M. Smart lost to Mrs Wilson.
