ASHHURST.
(From Our Own Correspondent.) ASIIHURST, Aug. 5. On Saturday tho second and final shoot for the Parkes Cup was fired on tho Ashhurst range. After a morning of continuous misty rain the afternoon broke fine, though very dull. There was a strong left wind blowing throughout tho shoot. There were only two possibles recorded, both at 500 yds, R. A. Jones and M. Hausmann, of tho Ashlmrst A team, being successful. The highest individual total was 100 by R. A. Jones. At tho conclusion of the shoot, the Aslihurst president, Mr W. G. Romlcy, thanked the visiting team for coming down. Mi A. Balmer, on behalf of the Pohangina Club, thanked Mr Romley for his remarks and tho Ashhurst Club for their hospitality. Scores are as follow: Ashhurst A, R. A. Jones, 31—35—34—100; M. Osborne. of Bunnythorpe Road, who have recently been married. On behalf of the club, tho captain, Mr R. Potts, presented the couple with a cut glass salad bowl with expr css > on s of goodwill from their fellow members.
