LAMB FIGURES RISE. * MUTTON SHOWS DECREASE. t Increases in the shipments of'four - classes of exported meat are shown by ' the figures issued by the New Zealand 5 Meat Producers' Boa.rd for the season J ifrom October 1, 1936, to July 15, as compared with the same period for ' last season. Consignments of chilled s beef, lamb, pork and boneless beef . ,have all shown substantial advances, • 'the only declines being registered by )1 frozen beef and mutton. . I By far the greatest increase was rej corded in the shipments of lamb, thus reversing the position disclosed by the figures for the first fortnight of last . month. An advance of 377,722 carcases to 7,390,432 carcases occurred, and increases were also shown in shipments of chilled beef, which went up by 31,871 quarters to- 155.375 quarters; pork, which rose by 7795 carcases to 515,743 carcases; and in boneless beef, • which went up by 2104 bags to 182,781 bags. Mutton continues to show a decline. Koing down by 187,06] carcses to 1.227.2G5 carcases.' Frozen beef shipments decreased from 165.G22 quarters ' to 110.913 quarters. As against this, however, killings in both mutton and beef fell back, although those for most of the othei classes showed marked increases, a comparison of killings for export from October 1 to July 15 for both seasons being as follows:
