RURAL RAKINGS. I Bobby calves have been realising 10a per head for Jerseys in the Matamata district during the past few days. After being in existence for 29 years, the Raumati Co-operative Dairy Co , Ltd., Dannevirke, through lack of support, will go into liquidation. This decision'was arrived at at the recent annual meeting of suppliers. An increase in the number of cows tested and mi improvement in the financial position is disclosed in the report presented at. the annual meeting- of the Whangarei Group Herd Testing Association. A loss of £l7 last season has been converted into a profit of £7B on this year's working Tn 1935-36 4756 cows in 90 herds were tested, while this season 5395 cows in 99 herds have been entered. Members' own sampling went up from 784 cows in 44 herds to 921 cows in "52 herds. j
