RECOGNITION OF FRANCO. LONDON, Aug. 4. The British United Press correspondent at Salamanca says it is officially announced that the Vatican has recognised General Franco’s Government. , . , Recognition was preceded by a visit by Monsignor Antoniutti to General Franco. It was then agreed, says an official announcement, to grant General Franco’s Vatican representative, Senor Pablo Cliurruca, the status of an official diplomatic representative with the rank of Charge d’Affaires.
