RAPLEY CUP. After a liard-fouglit match on the Hokowhitu greens yesterday, a Alanawatu team won back the Raplev Cup from the Alasterton Ladies’ Golf Club, who have held it for the past three years, by the narrow margin of one game. Three previous challenges were withstood by Ala.sterton. At the close of play there was an exchange of courtesies ' Iwtween the captains, Mrs D. V. Stewart receiving the cup from Miss Murray. Following were the refolds. Masterton players being mentioned first: • Miss J. Hornabrook lost to Miss T. Seifert, Mies Todd beat Miss C. AA ilson. Mrs Drew beat Mies Ilston, Airs Prior beat Mrs L. Speechley. Ahss Alurray lost to Mrs A. E. Ekstedt, Mrs Powell'beat Mrs R. L. Harding. Mies Perry lost to Mrs D. V. Stewart. Mrs Plain lost to Mrs L. Cooper. Miss Donald ben.t Mrs E. Wimsett. Miss Jury lost to Mrs Brown. Miss Wrigley halved with Mrs .T. C. Young, Mir- 11. Porridge lost to Miss M. Evans. Manawatu won the cup bv one came.
