DAVIS CUP TEAM.
FETED BY NEW YORK. Received August 6, 2.1-7 p.m. NEW YORK, Aug. 5. The Davis Cup tennis team arrived to-day, and were welcomed by a large crowd. They made a triumphal ride with the cup through Fifth Avenue. J. D. Budge stated that he had no intention of turning professional for a season or two. He did not comment on the report that he had been offered 40,GU0 dollars and a third of the gate receipts for a nation-wide tour.
