HOCKEY ASSOCIATION.
Mr E. A. Garlick presided over the fortnightly meeting of the executive of tho Feilding Hockey Association, on Wednesday evening. It was decided to pay the Borough Council a progress payment on the work at Victoria Park, which is now being put into good shape. An invitation from the King Country Association to a men’s team was accepted, provided a team is available. it was resolved to commence the sealed handicap competition on Saturday, August 7, continuing on the 21st and 28th. with tho end-of-season tourney on September 4. Fixtures for Saturday’s games are: —Colyton v. Swifts A, 2 p.m., Feilding; Wanderers v. Swifts B, 3 p.m., Fcilding. Women’s seven-a-side scaled handicap.—Tui v. Magpies, 2 p.m.; Kowhai v. Tui, 2.30 p.m.; Magpies v. Kowhai, 3 p.m. Hockey teams for to-morrow are :
