WELLINGTON STOCK EXCHANGE.

YESTERDAY’S BUSINESS AND PRICES. Most of the dealings recorded on the Wellington Stock Exchange yesterday were in industrial and trading issues, the market for which was generally steady. Government loans were mostly firm, especially the longer-dated 4 per cent, issues. Supplies were very scarce, no sojlers showing in the list. Bank shaves were quiet, but quoted issues wore a shade firmer and three parcels of New Zealands sold at 44s 6d. Buyers were 3d up for Commercial of Australia at 18s 4d, but sellers were not attracted. Union were steady at £lO Is. Pastoral and financial isues showed no change on a dull market. South British Insurance wore fully firm at 98s 6d. In the breweries section New Zealand were steady at 50s and Staples were 4d up at 503 4d. Other industrial issues were fairly active. Felt and Textiles advanced strongly to business at 40s. Broken Hill Proprietary had dealings at from 83s 6d to 83s lOd. Electrolytic Zinc were stronger at 58s for ordinaries and 58s 8d for tho preference. YESTERDAY’S QUOTATIONS.
