MONEY MARKET RATES.
LONDON, Aug. 4. Discount and short-loan interest rates are as follows: Day-to-day loans, £ per cent; fine trade bills, two months, 2 to pel cent; hank bills, three months, 9-16 per cent; Treasury bills, six months, 5-8 per cent; Treasury bills, three months, I per cent. NEW YORK. Aug. 4. Call money is unchanged and is quoted at 1 per cent.
The Kaimata Dairy Company, Taranaki, celebrates its twenty-fifth anniversary this year with a splendid record cf 99.5 per cent, of finest cheese for tho past season and only 28 of a total of 5469 crates exported of first grade. This gave a premium to suppliers of £519, equal to .334 d per lb butterfat. .
