ITALY AND BRITAIN.
NEGOTIATIONS PLEASE FRANCE (British Official Wireless.) Received August 6, 11.55 a.m. RUGBY, Aug. 6. Paris message show that there is a general appreciation in France that the exchange of letters between Mr Neville Chamberlain and Signor Mussolini contains nothing derogatory to the friendly understanding existing between the British and French Governments and that a more cordial atmosphere should result in the relations between London and Rome from the Premier’s correspondence. The attitude of the majority of French commentators is warmly welcomed in London.
