FIRE INSURANCE.
SHOWGROUNDS BUILDING. The extfint of the insurance to be received by the Manawatu and West Coast Agricultural and Pastoral Association for the loss caused by fire some months ago in the Wheeler Memorial Building was explained at a meeting, of the general committee of the association to-day. „ ; .. , The treasurer (Mr A. G. Lawson) said that the association would receive 4.11 WU for its fire loss. Of this £3OO bad been allocated for repairs. He asked whetliei the balance was to go toward the permanent reduction ot the mortgage. It was agreed that this course should be carried out. The president (Mr C. E. Vile) said no sale ring would be provided when rebuilding took place, but the end o tho Wheeler Memorial Budding won d be so arranged that shows could be held there when desired. , It was also mentioned that the rebuilding work had not yet started. t
