A CORRECTION.

to thb bditob. Sib, — In your issue of this day you have made a mistake which I desire y«u to kindly rectify, by publishing this note. You state that at the close of the late school election I handed m a written .protest against Mr. A. M. Wright's. election. I did not have the protest written, neither did I write it. When I was leaving the room Mr. Snelson called me back, and stated that he must have a protest from some two or three householders before the case could be settled. Mr. Hayns then wrote a protest and signed it. . Then I signed after him, left it on. the table, and _ retired. I may state that I did not raise "the objection to Mr. Wright, as it wa3 first spoken of by some one m the frontrow of de-ks. Mr. Wright then went to the Chairman to explain matters, when Mr. Hayns, not knowing what was being said, res? tip, and asked the j Chairman if Mr. Wright was qualified ? Mr. Wright then said something about paying for two rooms, I then rose up, and asked who was the real tenant, and this was the only time I spoke on the subject. There would have been an end to the matter, had not the affair of his having taken a house cropped up. — I am, Ac., Thomas Suttojt. January 26th, 1881
