It is proposed to raise at least £50,000 of the capital within the colony, payable as follows :— 2s 6d. per shaiv on application, 2s. Gd per share on allotnient, and the residue by calls not exceeding ss. per share, at intervals of not less^than three months. The company proposes to ask for power to acquire the native lands between Otaki and the Manawatu, I through' which the line will -pass, and : should this power be granted to them, the promoters have mi><>n to believe that the land, when acquired, would speedily be disposed of for settlement at a profitable rat»\ In view of this, the promoters are about to open negotiations with the JN'ati y e proprietors with respect to its acquisition. The concessions which the Government have made, and other particulars, are. fully set forth m the prospectus, which caivbe obtained from the Secretary, or at any of the brandies of the Bank of Nevv Zealand throughout the colon}', and to which is annexed a form of application for shares.
