It is understood that the Govern^ ment intend to summarily dismiss l John Henry Whitelaw, the superintendent of the Wellington Asylum, m consequence of the Commissioners' report. The Government have fully decided that the Asylum shall, as soon as can .fairly- be done^r be placed under the charge of a' duly qualified medical- practitioner. "With regard to the Inspector, DrSkae, no final decision had been made, but he has been called upon to make an official reply to the charges contained m the Royal Commissioners' Report.
