ILLEGAL PRACTICING.
CHRISTCHURCH Last Night. J Cecil Gurney was fined £10 and costs yesterday for acting as a conveyancer when not a barrister of the Supreme Court. The defence was that he was merely acting as clerk for a solicitor. The Law Society prosecuted.
