We must here, m conclusion give a brief outline of the sash presented. It was worked m beautiful style by Mrs. Uohfirts, of Stoney Cre- k, on black cloth, bordered with scarlet braid, and upon the breast, was. the musical emblem "the L?re" richly- embellished in-, co'or*, and the- wo»-ds "Paimerston North Volunteers, Parihaka." There were m all, we would 1 imagine, at Tesst forty couples ofv^ancers ps-esepr^beside a- large number of on-lookers, and altogether the affair was most- successful.
