Legislative Council.
I Wtlliujiton, July 16. In the Council to-day the Desti* tute Persons Act -smendment Bill, and the Fugitive Offenders Jurisdiction Bill were read a first time. On the motion of Mr Whitaker the Tenants Fixtures Bill was read a second time, after some opposition from Messrs Whitmore, P. Buckley, and Holmes-. On a division of 26 to JO, the Bill was referred to a Select' Cpinmirtoe. The Council rose at 4-4-5 p.m.
