The second reading of th.c New Zealand Native Land Company's Bill was postponed for a week. ' Eeplying to a question, Ministers stated Government did not proposeto deal with the endowment of hospitals and charitable institutions this session. The Crown Grants Bill was read a second time. At the evening sitting, the Sheriffs Bill, Auctioneers Bill, Adulteration Prevention Act Amendment Bill, and Bills of Exchange i Bill were read a seqqnd time. The Lands Act Amendment Bi 1 ! was also, after some discussion read a second time.
