With reference to Cr Ferguson's motion re the Times account at the Borough Council, apart from personal feeling altogether we consider he did his duty, although perhaps prompted to do so by motives of a different character. We do not wish or desire that our accounts should be treated on any other basis than a purely business one. At the same time we trust now Or Ferguson has turned over a new leaf and begun to do his duty he will continue the same strict supervision of the accounts sent to the Council, including those sent in^ by — well, we won't be unwind.
